Austin Commercial Real Estate Society (ACRES) is a private
organization composed of the top 75 commercial real estate brokers in the Austin area. Membership is
by invitation only to those who have distinguished themselves through professionalism, integrity and
quality workmanship in the brokerage of commercial and investment real estate.
The primary activities of ACRES are the monthly luncheons and the annual Awards of Excellence.
The monthly meetings provide keynote speakers on the latest local economic and political developments
as well as enable brokerage transactions through networking. The annual Awards of Excellence recognize
the most significant commercial and public sector developments of the previous year.
A recent survey of the 75 members revealed an average of 18 years experience in the commercial real estate
business with nearly 20% holding CCIM designations and 12% holding SIOR designations. More than 50% have
their own company. Their brokerage activities in descending order by property type are land, industrial,
office, retail and multi-family.
ACRES is regarded within the Austin real estate circles as being the top professionals in the industry with
the knowledge and experience to serve the public well.
